It wasn't long a go that right wing christian conservatives used to call liberals irrelvant. After the 2006 election and huge defeat of neocons and the way things moving along it seems that the right wing christians are becoming irrelvant. I mean there is a huge chance that republicans will lose more senate seats in 2008. And if Hillary or MCcain, or Gulliani win the election it is still huge defeat for rightwingers as all of those people are relatively liberal. Also, if you add the huge wave of immigration, participation of younger people, and women it seems that the right wingers are doomed for good! Also, I am seeing bunch of close friends leaving churchs and christianity for good. Do you agree with my observations? Why or Why not? Do you think right wing of republican party can make a come back?

Once the horror of what they did to this country, Iraq, and the world sinks in, they'll be leaving politics in droves. There is plenty of evidence this is already happening.

well, it wasnt a huge loss in 2006. the House was, but the Dems barely, just barely have the Senate. I certainly dont think the right is irrelevant, especially now. Yes, the Reps, and Dems for that matter, have not done well in Iraq. There isnt much arguing to that. If we lose 08, it might be a huge loss, depending on the Senate and House numbers. I think we'll get the Senate back at least, and right now win the Presidency. You are right about Gulliani and McCain, they are somewhat liberal. Im not a big fan of McCain, but there are worse. However, minorities are moving ever so slightly to the left, and we saw that in 04. That might of been due to Kerry, or it could actually be that minorities are growing more conservative, i dont know. Right now for the Presidency, Im looking for someone that is against illegal immigration, against birth control abortion, and can possibly help the situation in the Middle East. Right now, that looks like Romney. Although he too, used to be liberal, he has seemed to change his mind. He seems to be a man of reform, and reform is what we need right now for America. Obama, Hillary, Gulliani and McCain seem somewhat corrupt, and although they have the name and the spotlight, do they have what America wants? We will see.

I don't believe Republicans have gone anywhere. The media did a good job at convincing Republicans not to vote through the whole, "Democrats have already won" trumpeting. Because they didn't get out to vote, we get the garbage we have now in Congress. America is paying for her mistake.
As for Christians . . .we've been in the "End Times" since the death and resurrection of Christ-2000 years. God has said that He will shake all nations, there will be wars and rumors of wars, and that many will fall away (meaning Christians will walk away from God.) He's filtering out the faithful from the unfaithful. Christianity by no means is falling apart. It never will. However, there will be those that the enemy is able to cast doubt into their hearts through things like The Da Vinci Code, this supposed "tomb of Jesus", "book of Judas, Mary, yada yada." There will be some Christians who buy into it and walk away.

I believe as a nation we should get back to the basics..I am so pained by the idea that you present it is ,partly true. what if people could care again ? for their country ..for their children.. for their morals.. I see alot of finger pointing and name calling and blame shifting but really can we start taking part of the responsibility on our own.
30 years ago were politics this nasty,Are these name calling finger pointing moraly challenged individuals the ones we as a proud country would want to lead us..how bad has it gotten when parents stop parenting, and children bring weapons to school and know more about sex at 7 than I knew at 17, and politicians get caught in some serious scandals.Remember they didnt get there by themselves . We are all accountable ,just because foriegn policy or elections dont go your way , we all share a common bond and that is that we are American and we should shoulder some of the guilt for what is happening in todays society... its never to late to bring back abrighter future for our children.
Cant we all just watch leave it to beaver one more time and learn what values were

"right wing" and "christianity" are oxymorons.. christianity is about fairness and love and forgiveness.. things the right wing doesnt embrace.. whether they're jewish, chirsitians or bhudists.. the right wing is all about making the ultra rich.. even richer.. its about enslaving the masses and keeping them ignorant.. these are not and never will be tenets of christianity.. and i feel christianity is beign hijacked by the right wing to firstly weaken it.. and secondly to use as a way of gaining popularity..

Hardly. Just what do you suppose the life expectancy of our new Supreme Court Justices will be?

Keep bashing on Christians, if that is how you wish to spend your time, but do not expect us to just go away.

No. I love them more and more. They will mostly pick the Republican nominee and the good news is they will nominate a person that will be unlikey to win the general election.

Thanks God for Jerry Falwell!!!

well, I have been considered a "right wing Christian Conservative" and I am still here, and not really one bit concerned about the 2008 elections. so I would have to disagree with you on that one.

I believe that you are wrong. All that matters is In the end God will prevail. It's written in the book. It's all in the book. The last chapter The Bible.
