they are obviously picking smart 5th graders, but the show was too slow and drawn out for me. I was bored after the first idiot couldn't answer any of the questions.

It is after all a TV show and like most TV Shows (even the reality TV) it has some fabricated stuff. Even if the questions they asked are a part of curriculum from grade 1-5, I don't think all the students would have remembered all the answers. They just have to prove that the kids know better than grown ups - thats the aim of the game.
Besides, it really depends on what you would use to determine whether person A is smarter than person B... true, kids could answer those questions... doesn't necessarily mean they are smarter... they know their stuff... grown ups know theirs...
Chill - its just a TV Show...

I haven't even watched this, but the questions I've heard were on the show seem biased. I mean you learn all of this stuff IN the fifth grade. Why don't they ask questions from a high school level or a college level. Then we'll know if these kids are actually smart

For the main section. I cant have faith that lots of the contestants dont comprehend the very staple products. i like Jeff Foxworthy and that i've got fun with seeing the toddlers and their abundance of enthusiasm. i've got been a contestant on some shows and comprehend it fairly is not the comparable as sitting at abode, yet nevertheless-i wish i may well be smarter than a 5th grader.

Yes, I am smarter then a fifth grader. I have had a few of my own. There are many fifth graders who do feel smarter then adults. They are not much fun to be around. There are adults out there with very little formal education. Some of them are parents and their children do learn more then they know by fifth grade.

was kinda fishy... plus they only showed like 7 questions... cuz they advertised more than half of the show... what UCLA graduate does not know how to solve the height and base of a triangle and what month Columbus Day is Celebrated? I guess the show won't run more that a couple of seasons... if that!

You're right. The show kinda sucked over all anyway. As soon as I got into it it ended, it should be an hour instead of 30 minutes. I think I will stick too Jeporday.

Haha, soooo true, dude.
I'm in 7th grade, acing most of my tests. The questions seemed so...high-school-ish.
OR maybe it depends on which school you study/studied in.
I didn't like the show. It was a little bit boring.

I used to think so. Until I discovered I couldn't beat my 7 year old grand daughter at trivia on the computer.
