Gear Shifting.

There are 2 different motors.

2.2 liter or 2.4 echo (Quad4)

Read your owners manual or ask at your local Chevy dealer.
the 2 motors are geared differently.

Your car may shift in a m.p.h. window depends how you drive.

I have a 2001 Z24 Auto Trans Quad4 motor. I have noticed the is a window for all 4 gears depending how I am driving.

The trans shifts from first to second around 22-28mph, second to third around 35-40mph, then third to overdrive around 45mph. There is no fifth gear unless you are counting reverse.
