Ken Livingstone has flawless Socialist Principles,Politically Correct Principles, and "liberal" Principles:ex-Communist now waging war on the Middle-Classes,and putting his cronies in well-paid sinecures.(nothing wrong with this,of couse: standard practice on the Left.)
He's had a few ups-and-downs of course: using the term Nazi to a Jewish guy,and some small murmurs about the IRA.
But,Hey Man!
As the great Comrade Stalin said:
"You can't make an omelette without breaking eggs".
As the Great Karl Marx also said that:
"Religion is The Opium of the People"
Is it now "Right-on" to say that Muslims are not intelligent?
Could someone point out any flaws in this logic,or am I misunderstanding something in "liberal" logic?

I bet you think that's a good one:"have you read Marx?"
Nobody has read Marx!
Nor the Bible!
Nor Stalin!
Nor Freud!
Nor Mein Kampf!
Nor Jung!
Nor Adler!
Nor The Communist Manifesto!
Nor The Koran!
Nor The American Bill of Rights!
But everybody's an expert on them!
People can talk all day about Freud but nobody has READ him.
The same with all the others.
Everybody is rabbiting on about Introverts and Extraverts.
And they've never read "Psychological Types"
Why would anyone read Stalin?
He didn't write the books,anyway.
Don't you know his hands got tired signing Death Warrants(that's from Lavrenti Beria.) more later. :-)

I'm talking about what Ken said, not what I said.
Are you sure it was opiate? What did Marx say in the original German?

Anyone who has read Freud would know that he dismissed Religion as:
"The Universal Obsessonal Neurosis of Humanity"
He wasn't much of a liberal either: he said:
"It must be admitted that Women have but little sense of Justice"

If you want to know more about the Sexual Harasser Karl Marx?
Read :
"Intellectuals"
by Paul Johnson.
Johnson used to be a Leftie: so surely the guy must know something.
Or don't book listings matter in his case?
This will really upset everybody:
I'm almost sure the guy used to write for The Daily Mail!

Hi, CTU !
Yeah.Ken said that.
The trouble with Ken is that he doesn't think before he opens his mouth!
That is why he will never beome a succesful "liberal"!
To progress from being a real Hard Line Communist to beng a "liberal" (not that Ken worries now that he's got such a "Cushy Billet" and is salting his money away) you have to think before you open your big mouth.
You have to think.
Is this guy I'm talking to a Jew?
If you're on the phone you gotta watch out that the guy you're talking to isn't Black?
Ken can't do this.
He's also no good with witty remarks.
That's why he has to make do with the stupid remarks that so often misfire! see Bierce above.
As I've implied: It's a hard job being that evolved Commie (now a "liberal")
If anyone is thinking of insulting me.
remember the "liberal" code.
Am I Black? am I gay ?am I disadvantaged?
It's a minefield in" liberal" land!
Hey Ken,babes!
What's with the taxi fares?
Aren't cars bad?

Hi there,
All you lovely liberals.
Firstly, In liberal-Speak You must always say to yourself :
"What would Joe Stalin say?"
And you must look at what any other hard-line Communist would say,or do.
Someone made a good try at the the "book trick,"
But really! it is an such an Ooold! trick
try to upgrade it!
Far more fashionable is the list of web sites.
But be careful!
Some bum liberal lawyer tried THAT, and "Shot himself in the foot"
in one of my"fascist rants"
To show that there's no hard feeling:
I'll give you another old Commie trick.
Use the old "Numbers Racket":
This goes:
"In North Korea, before our Glorious Revolution, 96.8% of the people were starving and no fewer than 88.7% were illiterate!
Nowadays!
of this 96.8% 99.9% have a super-abundance of food.
88.2% an over-adequcy
and more than 68.9% of the overall 96.8% contribute 48% to the 16% that we export to the relief of the 89% who are oppressed by 98% of The Yankee Capitalists and Neo-fascists!

Ken Livingstone is not - as you say - "waging war on the Middle-Classes." He is the doyen of the suburban middle classes. What are you talking about?
Besides, 'socialist' and 'liberal' are not at all the same thing, as you appear to assume. And Stalin did not ever say the 'eggs' thing. And Livingstone is a Marxist in the same sense that you are a cream-cake.

first off, religion and inteligence are measured on completly different scales. Inteligent people come from all different walks of life. People believe what they are culturaly brought into, it has little effect on their inteligence.
could you clarify if in your question you are makling the statement that "if someone believes in Islam (they are muslim) then they can not possibly be inteligent?"
to me that seems like the point you are getting at, which I would find to be an extremely narrow minded point of view for anyone who chooses to qoute Marx and Stalin to take, but then again, I am assuming that you have actually read the works of Stalin and Marx correct?
And for the record, on my book shelf right now is a copy of the following books (all of which I have read twice)
-The Communist Manifesto, by Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels, and Gareth Stedman Jones
-The Holy Bible, NIV, King James Version, and New Living Translation
-The unknown Stalin, by Zhores Medvedev and Roy Medvedev
-Stalin a Biography, by Robert Service
-Mein Kampf, By Adolf Hitler (paperback reprint published by Random House, 1992)
-Man and his Symbols, by Carl Gustav Jung
-The Book of Morman
-The Koran (english language translation)
-The Republic, by Plato, (penquin classics)
-Orgins of the Bill fo Rights, Yale contemporary law series, by Leonard W. Levy
along with MANY many other books.

Did Ken Livingstone really say that about religion??! He's stupid. The phrase 'better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool, than open it and be proved to be one' has rarely fitted one person better!

Martin Luther King believed.
He was a great man.
I suppose atheists believe he was either a fraud, for saying he believed - or a fool, if he really did.

You should be a reporter and then you could twist every body's words. It's opiate of the masses by the way
my apologies: ‘Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, just as it is the spirit of a spiritless situation. It is the opium of the people.’
However, when he referred to the bloke as a 'Nazi concentration camp guard' i doubt he asked him religion first, and i also doubt that he directed his question toward any particular religion when he asked if you 'know anyone with intelligence who believes in God'
Book banning? Right thinking? oh dear oh dear, right wing fascist thinking perhaps
