I mean I just delete out the emails....click off the popups(and wouldn't even think of buying from someone who advertises by attacking) so how are these guys making any money?
Who is falling for all this junk? I realize they put out zillions and hope to get a few buy geez...who are these few?

Golden Ray, don't have to imagine those at all. I forgot about those. EVery time I see one I think of my mother or a few other people and cringe just knowing they are clicking on it. Those are so unfair.

imagine a pop-up that says you are infected and need to download a security program. wouldn't you believe? if you wouldn't that's great. however that popup might be very similar to windows system alert and some people might for for it. most of corrupt antispyware spreads this way, like spyware quake, antivermins or more recent spydawn. people get worried that they are infected and buy useless software.
