Help on a Demonstration Speech Topic?

Question

My proffesor said

no food or drink
no drugs or alchohol
no pets
no children and
no birth control devices

Someone please help me... I have no ideas at all...

I had to chuckle at your teacher's list of taboo topics. Choose anything you know. Or, find an interesting magazine article and base your demonstration on that. Example: how to decorate jeans using a stencil and bleach pen. How to solve Soduko math puzzles. How to change oil in the car. How to use a GPS unit . How to install a computer modem. How to rewire a lamp. How to make a t- shirt quilt. How to make a free form clay pot. How to do a _____ dance ( you select one... Hokey Pokey, western line dance, cha cha, chicken dance, Mexican Hat dance., hula..)
What do you know that not everyone else in your class knows.?

If you have access to technology, you could create a Power Point instead of posters.

As an instructor, I can tell you that the topic is not nearly as important as your presentation. Introduce yourself, explain what your are going to tell them, tell them, and tell them what you told them. A certain amount of redundancy is expected. I am sure your instructor gave you handouts or models on organization of your speech. Be sure you know a little of the history of the topic, where the class can get more information, and your source of information.
If you have enough time ask your local state extension office for the 4-H agent and pick up a video tape and/ or instructions on how to to a demonstration.

If you don't mind toting the equipment, you could demonstate how to iron a shirt.
