Tofu dishes often have a lot of fat and carbs. They also are high on the glycemic index. So, no. And I'm not a vegetarian but I normally do not eat meat.

If tofu is firm and marinated well, it's fine. I'm a vegetarian, but I don't eat a lot of tofu.

ive never had pure tofu, plain
I'm a more-extreme vegetarian, but Im not quite vegan (no meat, no milk, yes eggs)

I have tried it, it was ok... but I would eat it on an everyday basis... and no I am not a vegetarian or vegan... I am an animal lover though... just not on the extreme side... I eat only chicken pork and fish... and don't believe in hunting...
