marijuana has been proven less harmful than alcohol, contains less harmful chemicals than tobacco, and is also used for medical reasons.

should marijuana be legalized? why or why not. please explain.

Yes, because they are just imprisoning millions of otherwise law abiding citizens.

Absolutely. It cures what ails you, and there is a whole book full of things that it aids in healthwise.

It would cut the drug dealer out of the marijuana picture--thereby making it safer for those who consume it.

The tax monies the government would collect could go toward health-related causes (as does some of the tobacco tax monies).

Yes -- We aren't going to stop it anyway. Don't forget Prohibition. It didn't work because people wanted alcohol. The demand was such that the govt. couldn't continue to justify the band on alcohol. Especially since there were so many govt. officials who themselves enjoy drinking.

yes. if we live in a free country, we should have the right to put whatever substance into our body that we want to. it isn't the substance that's the the problem, it's the actions that people do while on said substance, and it is the actions that we should punish not the substance.
