I will be buying the new Macbook soon. I know Apple has an education store that offers big discounts but are there any others? Any1 have any coupons or codes or websites or any tips on how to save even more $$? Are the Macbooks due for an upgrade? If so when? And will that make the Macbooks that are currently out cheaper? Any help on getting the most for my money when it comes to Mac will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Fu*k you DELL tech. I would not use a Dell if they paid me. Dell suck A*SS. Once you go Mac you wont go back. Dell tech don't know anything. I was talking to one in a Dell store once and he could not answer any of my questions. He could not do anything. With a Mac you will not regret it. They have a great Mac Genuis place where they answer your questions and help you. They always know what you talk about and always are able to help you. A few weeks ago I went up to one and said after I switched to Linux my iPod was not working the same way. He was great help and told me all these programs that are great for the iPod on Linux. A mac will never give you a problems. They can run Mac OSX, Linux, and Windows. Dell can only run Windows and Linux.

A good option is to buy refurbished and always get AppleCare.
Also, see if you know anyone that gets a corporate discount.

I got my new Macbook Pro for $500 less than retail through a friend with a corporate discount.

Well, once you go Mac, I am sure you will come back. What am I saying? You will come back to Windows.

When you want to download softwares, especially those you LOVE and you can't download them because of Mac, your headache will start... When you want to play games and your Mac starts to freeze, your headache will start.... When you want to repair a parts that should cost $70 but it costs $299 with Mac, your headache is going to start... And finally, when your friends windows notebooks can do 50% of stuffs than you can with a Mac, your jealousy is going to start... Once you go Mac, Windows expects you back.

unless you know someone who can get you a corporate discount, mac's generally aren't discounted. the reason is because unlike PC's, mac's don't sell copycats. with pc's you have dell, hp, compaq, gateway, etc.
