myspace.....?

Question

how can i convince my mom to let me get a myspace?....all of my friends have them and i really want one.....but my mom thinks that i am going to go on there and talk to people that i don't know...and if i did get one then she would want to know my password and everything and i wouldn't want her to be looking at my myspace or my friends but i guess that is better than not having one at all

I had the same problem. Just tell your mom that new features on myspace make your profile invisible to anybody on your friends list, and for them to become your friends you have to invite them. And it is possible to change your password as well, so if anyone were to find it out, it's a piece of cake to change. Also, make your profile picture a character from your favorite TV show at first to hide even that from outsiders, and gradually put more info on it, and maybe even a profile pic.

Another strategy is to ask her what you can do to get a myspace. that usually works... Hope this helps!

Or you get a real social life at school - that works just as well.
Sadly Myspace is not that important, so who cares if your friends have it, I would respect your Mom wish, and show that you can be mature about this.

Trust me it will play much better in the future, as you will have your Mom's trust.

Still get one! But put a FAKE name, so if she ask if u have a myspace then just tell her no, & if she try's to search u by name then she can't...but yea sign up, but put a fake name so that she wont be able to search u by name....also do that by e-mial, get a fake e-mail adress that she does know about!!!!!..

um just make one without her knowing about it. make sure you just put urself under a fake name or something and she'll never know.
