She is quite a large guppie, and her belly EXTEREMLEY big. My neighbor gave her to me with a bunch of other guppies ranging in size from tiny to HUGE so i really have no idea how many batches she has had. I have her in a breeder net right now, and am just wondering how long before i should take her out as I don't want her eating the babies.

That's really impossible to answer I'm afraid. Guppies can have up to 70-80 babies and it can take up to 24 hours. 25-40 babes and about 3-4 hours is much closer to the norm.

well i wouldnt worry the mother guppy would only eat a few or even not at all. i had guppys and i had one HUGE liek urs and i also put her in a breeding net and 12 hours later when i came back there were 30 guppy fries and shes was still quiet fat. and all she did was jus sit there she didnt eat any of em. but jst giving u a tip soime signs of removing a pregnant guppy form the tank shouldnt be cause shes humongously fat u should carfeully see if shes not eating, swimming up and down the tank, isloating herself form others, or shes really hyper these r some signs of giving birth. if u see these signs put ehr in a fish breeding net and if nothing happens 2 her in 24 hours put here back. if she does lay here babies then seperate her and the fry in a nother tank or container and feed her a bit and a day later put her back in the main tank. if u ahve any questions email me tvbbnumber41@yahoo.com
