I started about your age.

Get a monologue. Take some headshots. (8x10 black and white photo of your face) Attach a resume on the back. (Include experience, education, and skills, and contact information.) Send them to agencies. Wait a few days and give them a call, just check if they've gotten your headshot, they'll schedule an appointment if they're interested.

Most auditions you'll go to will ask you to do a monologue, so find one that's right for you and work at it. You can also look in your Sunday paper to look for local acting jobs.

As for acting schools, be VERY careful at which school looking at. They're highly expensive and might not be worth it.

Stay involved in school theatre, this will you get a lot of experience.

Buy the book Breaking Into Acting For Dummies. It's really helpful. Also, is acting your passion or are you in it for the fame and fortune? This is a very tough, competitive career. You'll get dissapointed a lot. If you're in it for the acting, it'll be worth it. If not, get ready for dissapointment.

At this point you really need to concentrate on getting an education. Along with the education take advantage of any opportunity to be on stage in a play, as part of a choir or public speaking. Learn where your talents lie and develop them some before you jump off into the deep water. An agent is looking for someone who he can make a commission from and will be looking mainly for someone who has been to an acting school.

If you have never taken acting classes, or had an objective person rate your acting ability, that is where you should start.

Getting an agent is way, way, way ahead of the game at this point. Then you should get cast in a few shows, and invite the agents to see your performances. Only then should you consider getting a REPUTABLE agent.

Getting an agent is easy, now finding a good one is a different story. Try looking for modeling agencies near you, most of the time they also look for actress's. I also recommend you take drama in school and musical thetare if your school offers it this will help you gain some experince. Also if you are really kean on being an actress try taking some acting classes as well. = ) Good luck!

first, you need to get to the right place if your not there now. you will need a parent to drop what their doing and actively do this with you. you need to get training and experience, first, not an agent. agents only get paid if you work, they won't waste time on someone with no training and experience. when you take some professional acting classes you will learn how to work in front of a camera, how to get through an audition, where to look for auditions, where to look for an agent, how to submit to them and basically how to persue show business. first, just worry about getting training and experience and doing anything
at all. success will come if it's meant to be.

It sounds like you are more interested in becoming famous than becoming a successful actress. So ask yourself this question; Would I still like to do it even if I never become famous? There is a difference you know. There are many many successful actresses that have never made a Hollywood Movie. I'd say start by learning to act first.

ATTEND SCHOOL ! MAYBE MORE THAN ONE.! GET RECOGNIZED THROUGH SCHOOL PLACEMENT ETC. ONE THING LEADS TO ANOTHER. MAYBE OUT OF COUNTRY LEARNING POSSIBLY TOO. CHOOSE WISELY BUT DONT BE WEAK ON TRAINING AND PARTICIPATION . TALK WITH SCHOOLS WHEREVER THEY MIGHT BE. BE AN AUTHORITY ON WHATEVER YOU PURSUE !
