No it's south of the Bay Area, inland from Monterey

No it is in the Monterey Bay Area. It is about a 30 min drive from the Monterey Bay, and a 1-hour drive from the most southern part of the SF bay.

I live in Salinas. It is about 25 miles east of Monterey.
IT IS NOT IN THE BAY AREA. It is in the Monterey Bay Area.
The BAY AREA is considered to be in the San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose area.
Salinas is about 125 miles south of San Francisco. It is about 10 miles from the ocean and surrounded by mountains on two sides.

Salinas is about a 20 minute drive from Monterey. It is not considered part of the Bay Area.

Not quite, but it is easily served by Bay Area public transportation systems. The Monterey/Salinas buses connect to Cal-Train via San Jose making it an easy trip or commute.

Salinas is abt 100 mls South of San Francisco and abt 50 South of San Jose, close to Monte Rey bay....

South and inland from Monterrey. It has a valley there called Salinas Valley where they grow veggies. It is very beautiful.
