(or stockings, take your pick on what you call it) Do people wear it in the spring? What colors are best? Can you wear a skirt with them and have your hose-covered legs showing? Okay yeah, so this is 4 questions in one, but I'm ignorant and I can't help it. Please help. Thanks!!

Pantyhose are the all in one things, and stockings usually come up to your thigh and held with either elastic or or a garter belt (but they look the same to someone seeing you clothed :)) and are usually fairly sheer. Tights are heavier - more opaque (think little girls).
Hose/stockings are usually worn with skirts and dresses. Some people wear them with capri's or even shorts (ugh). I think they should just be with skirts and dresses.
For me, pesonally, I tend to wear them mostly in fall & winter, perhaps early spring. When the weather is warmer and the fashions are not as "heavy" I tend not wear them (except maybe with a black evening dress, then I might wear sheer black). The exception would be any business situation where a man would wear a suit, you should wear nude colored hose, no matter the temp.
As far as color, if it is a daytime professional or formal look you should wear a nude as close to your natural shade as possible. A sheer white/off white is acceptable, but there are very few people that can pull off the look successfully. If it is an evening more formal or professional occasion, then a sheer black. If it is a fun casual event, fun tights in any color that works with the outfit would be okay.

Most people these days wear them when bare legs are not appropriate, say like at a business meeting although many companies these days dont require it anymore-like if you work downtown chicago-I would say go for hose if you have a big meeting or if you deal with important clients all day-if you simply just want to wear them it is fine but I think it is considered old ladyish nowadays. Tights look cute with minis....

Yes you can wear them in spring, you can wear a neutral color or light tan, depending on what color you wear. At night you can still get by with a sheer black. yes you can wear skirts with your legs showing. I prefer thigh highs, but thats your choice.

You can wear them all year round if you want to.
Beige colors are best. They may get hot and stuffy in the
summertime.
They do support your legs and make them more energetic.

Ill answer for a man. Wear hosiery when you want to look nice and its not a really casual situation. No one would expect you to wear stockings when you go to the walmart, but if you are out to a concert, play, nice restaurant and if you want to look good in general please dont go bare legged. It looks very tacky with a nice dress or suit.

well most people called them leggings. You wear them with denin skirts or dress. They look cute with ballet flats or clogs. white and brown are the most popular

When you wear a skirt or a dress. It isn't proper for women to show off her legs (not even when it is hot).

I wear tights with anything. Shorts, skirts, pants with holes in them. They're fun if you like the eccentric color thing.
