I really love kids, and exercising, and teaching people things! Are there any Physical Education teachers on here who can help me find out what it is I need to get in the correct path? I am only 20 right now, but I am working full time as a Legal Assistant, totally not the right route for my ideas and wants in life! I don't have very much time on the phones, or college websites looking up things about jobs while at work and no internet at home, plus colleges are closed when I get off work! ANY help would be great! Thank you kindly!

I wish I knew what part of the country you are in. If you are near Maryland, as I am now, consider Towson University or Frostburg State. If you are interested in a Christian college, I think that my alma mater, Calvin College in Michigan, prepared me very well for my career as a Physical Education teacher. The faculty is well-prepared to offer a thorough preparation from a Christian perspective. There are a number of other colleges with good PE departments. Get accepted to one and then get an adviser who knows the PE department well and will get you taking the proper courses.
Also, get outside experiences, paid or as volunteer, working with kids and fitness and sports. Coach a youth league team, for example.

You can go to any four year university and pursue a degree in physical education or kinesiology-make sure you ask a guidance counselor what is best. Also, you could start at a two year community college and transfer to 4 year college later. You will only need to take four years of classes, basics such as English, math, science, history, and lots of physical education classes, maybe even some Biology classes that courses involve human anatomy and how the body works. I know that you can do it, Good luck! I hope that I have helped.
