Please help! I have these numbers:

The hydrate is 2 grams, the water vapor was .76 and the anhydrate is 1.24 g

Calculate the empirical formula.

take the 1.24 g of anhydride and divide by the molecular mass of CuSO4.

take the 0.76 gr. of water and divide by 18 (MM of water). Make a whole number ratio out of these two numbers and you will have the hydrate formula

(most likely it will be pentahydrate, but do the math to be sure)
