To get bums on seats is it necessary to display bums on stage? It always works for this play. Nice bot Daniel.

I strongly suspect that you haven't read "Equus," and know nothing about it. If you had, you would know that the nudity in the text is completely justified, and that the play really couldn't reach its intended conclusion without it.

daniel said that the nudity is not the highlight of the play. the nudity just added to the tension and emotion of the story. and having someone nude on stage adds to the shock. shock not because the actor removed his clothes, but shock on the heaviness of the plot and the psychiatric problem of alan strang.

the bums on seats were there because daniel radcliffe is in it. everyone was curious to see how dear cute harry potter would do something like equus in a stage play.

i heard he did a great job. :) makes me want to watch it.

What works for this play is that it's good. The fact that there's a nude scene in it is not what sells tickets. Daniel Radcliffe's nude scene may sell some, because he's a "hot property" right now. But the play stands on its own merit.
