In chapter 10, after shooting the rabid dog, Atticus crushes his glasses. What is the symbolism of Atticus' glasses? I've read this chapter over and over, but I still don't know the answer..

maybe he cannot see what is comming anymore. it may foreshadow that something may happen that leaves him in confusion because he cannot see what is comming his way anymore? thats all i cna think of hope it helps! i deserve best answer lol

It shows that Scout and the boy ummm Jem, dont see him as a loser anymore. They now think Atticus is a cool dad.

Remember in the beginning they are mad that he has glasses and won't play football with them.
