The 1998 book of Guinness World records lists a Russian mom as giving birth to 69 children. This was the most I could find. (She obviously must have had multiple births.)

Wow - interesting question.

We are all assuming that you mean "How many babies can a woman have?" because one jot of sperm has LOTS of potentially viable sperms in it.

Without science - if a woman started menstration at 12 - she could have a baby in 9 months - and get pregnant in a month so let's say 1 baby every 10 months for 35 years or so?

Man, I don't want to do the math - but let's just say that's too many.

Not so long ago, when most people were farmers - families were bigger. Most had 8+ kids . . .

Well, People can have up to 3 babies in one litter, It has once been recorded that 6 babies were born in one litter, And thats just for one pregnancy Women can start having babies after there first period, By the time there 40+ it would be verry bad to have babies, Because the babie might get really sick, since the women is old age, Overall people can have babies as much as they want,And stops Usually until there 37-40 years of age, Hope this helps!

Well women are born w/a limited amount of eggs... so it would depend on the person, but I'd guess that if a woman started giving birth at 16 and had a child every year, most women start menopause in their mid to late 40's and if you don't count twins or multiples I'd say at the very least a person could have 32 kids... but can you imagine how much that would SUCK!

a women can have as many kids as she wants but think about it how man can a man have? if a women has five kids by one man and then 6 more by 3 other ladies that's 11 right there so a man is more labile to have have more babies then a woman.

Assuming menstruation starts at 10 and menopause starts at 50, I would say about 40 in a lifetime.

A woman prolongs her reproductive life by getting pregnant. The more babies you have...the more you can have.

Women don't make more eggs than they are born with. If you mensturate every month, the 400 or so eggs you are born with are gone in about 30 years. Getting pregnant can prolong that 30 years to 50 or more.

My grandmother had 17! 16 pergnancies, and her very last was a set of fraternal twins. My mom was #4 born out of the bunch. So, the answer is "Alot!". Not that most people do, but it has been done. Plus, my grandma wasn't even Mormon or Catholic! Guess she just loved my grandpa! :)
