Yeah I know, Christmas is over. But my poinsettia is still alive. I'm getting tired of looking at it on my kitchen counter. Will it live if I repot it and set it outside? I don't want it to die, I'd just rather see not see it on my counter anymore.

As long as it warm outside...go ahead and re-pot it and put it outside. Bring it back in during the fall before the first freeze. As it ages the branches will become curly and it take on a lot of new character. My grandmother had the same plant for YEARS. Very cool.

It can stay outside until it starts getting too cold, but you need to put it in a dark closet, like 2 months b4 Christmas, to get the leaves to turn red.

Put in a cool dark place( like a basement).

Bring in the house in early fall.

Don't plant outdoors, it will die.
