As a healthcare provider I can tell you that the rule ususally is that a girl will grow no more than 4cm after her period starts (that's about 2 inches. I sincerely doubt you will grow any taller.

You'll keep growing until around age 18-ish so don't worry. You aren't done growing at 13 but you probably won't gain much more as girls tend to get their height growth in earlier than boys.
I was 5'0 in the 4th grade and only grew 6" more inches after that to top at at 5'6" myself...but that's 2" taller than average for a woman so don't worry if you don't end up growing much taller...you're far from "short"
"Most girls begin their growth spurt between the ages of 10 and 11 and reach about 95 percent of their adult height between the ages of 15 and 16.... says Dr. Kenneth Ellis, a professor of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. On average, girls grow between six and seven inches during this five-year period, boys from eight to nine inches.
According to Ellis, who studies children's growth at the USDA/ARS Children's Nutrition Research Center, these averages are based on measurements taken on thousands of children. So, while we know that most girls gain only an additional one-half inch between the ages of 16 and 18, a few will grow significantly through age 20. And, while tall parents tend to have tall children and vise-versa, taller children do not always become the tallest adults. "

I'm 5'7 or 5'8 (now) and 18 years old. I first got my period at the end of 4th grade which was when I was about 10... I have always been considered tall and matured faster than everyone else my age but every year I still think i get just a little, little taller- maybe it'll stop soon, good luck with your growth!

Hey, you're lucky! I'm 16 but I'm only 4' 11" and I've been on my period since I was 10. There's always a possibility you'll grow, just take care of yourself.
It's easier for your body to grow if you stay away from things like caffeine, which can be found in massive amounts when it comes to coffee and sodas.
People don't stop growing until age 25, then their bones calcify (harden) and growing ceases. You have a long time, don't sweat it, and hey if you don't grow you're meant to be the way you are! Don't be ashamed of it. [:

Honey don't worry about it. I started my period in 5th grade when I was 11. I was about 5'6", 5'7" tall in 6th grade, 12 years old. I'm now about 5'11"ish...I kept growing until last year (I'm a junior in HS) and I've stayed the same ever since. Some girls just mature faster than others.
But hey, it's great for playing basketball. :)
