I start at 6:10, going through to 7:10, every 5 minutes.
The trouble is, once you get locked in a pattern, its very hard to break the habit.

I used to do that all the time. Then I realised that my body doesn't get rest in the snooze time, because it doesn't really have time to switch off (but it is OH SO LOVELY for just a couple of minutes more). So what I do now is set my alarm an hour earlier, wake up and reset it (I am fully awake instantly) and fall back to sleep.
In that hour I have the most fantastic dreams. Or at least, those are the ones I remember.

I set the alarm for an hour before I need to get up so I hit the button a lot.

Sometimes I hit it so much that the battery runs out!

2-3 times and I awake at 4am during the week. I've changed the sound of my alarm to make it a more pleasant sound. So I no longer wake up grumbling.
