Everybody who has ever done hurdle racing has tripped over a hurdle. The best way to get over it is just that: next time you're up there - get over the hurdle. Don't stop doing what you do just because you were embarassed, instead, use the experience to try harder next time - show people what you're capable of.

Hey you are only human. Highschool is rough because its culture is geared toward encouraging character traits like approval seeking and mindless obedience. ALL humans fart, piss, trip over things, get emotional when they shouldn't, do things they think are wrong and so on. Your value is not found in the degree of your perfection, its found in your acknowledgement of your and others' humanity and your willingness and desire to know what is right and to live by that knowledge, perhaps even in your individualtiy (not to be confused with selfishness). Unlike psychopaths and sociopaths who are nothing more than wittless parasites that at best help provide an evolutionary selection against the more gullible of us. Any of your school mates that harras you about this are either sociopaths or just immature. Either way they are not worthy of your consideration. It is not their approval that you should seek but the approval of those you admire (even if you have to turn to historical figures to find someone worthy of admiration). Try joining some adult fraternal organization like the oddfellows, the masons, or even an interest club like mensa. Socializing with elders is a valuable and crucial life experience often denied to us in this age of government administrated education.
It might seem out of place but think of the characters played by Jack Black and others like him. We like these characters not because they are perfect but because they are genuine and they acknowledge their imperfection, are unashamed of it, and are not criticle of other's imperfection. In the west we (perhaps) wrongly value perfection. Notice how all of our consumer products are so symetrical. In the east it is not so. They value the imperfection of humanity. This takes a while to understand but a common example is that of a clay bowl. Here we like a perfectly round clay bowl, but such a bowl has no character. Imagine you inherited a bowl from a dead relative. Would it remind you of them and comfort you? What about a bowl they had made with their own hands, one with asymetry and imperfection?
I hope this helps! There are so many that I wish I could share it with. Please excuse the poor spelling. :-) See what I mean?

If it happens again just stop, smile and take a bow with a big grin on your face. We all fall over hurdles, literally and figuratively, and humor will diffuse any uneasiness.

Don't let anyone tease you. Everyone trips sometimes, in track and in life. If anyone says something mean to you, say, "I'll keep my feet high next time. I'm keeping my head high now."

Laugh at yourself. Don't take it too seriously, as everyone has tripped at one time or another. If someone mentions it, just say, "I practiced hard and long to do that!"
