~The Roosevelt Corollary of 1904 to the Monroe Doctrine, announced by President James Monroe on December 2, 1803, was President's Theodore Roosevelt's response to what he perceived as a threat which was engendered by the continuing and expanding influence of European interests in the western hemisphere. Announcement of the revised doctrine sent shock waves through not only the United States, but in Europe, South America and the Caribbean as well. In his "Big Stick" address to Congress, Roosevelt laid out a blueprint for America's new national policy on imperialism, as regarded both American imperialism and European expansion, be it territorial or commercial and economic. Congress and the American public were enthralled that a man of Roosevelt's stature and reputation would foster such a policy, given the nation's long standing traditions vis-a-vis imperialism, isolationism and interventionism. Roosevelt's actions under the corollary underscored a marked change in international affairs and response to international crises, especially in those events and actions he construed as "European imperialism", but his corollary was not well received by the community of nations until his cousin, Franklin Roosevelt, renamed it the "Good Neighbor Policy" in 1934.

The Roosevelt Corollory to the Monroe Doctrine said "to stop you from intervening with us, we will intervene with you." It basically says no one can move in around us or we will stop them from doing so. The old Monroe Doctrine said "don't move in around us" but the Corollory to the Doctrine says "we will stop you from doing something around us." The Monroe Doctrine is like a threat, and Roosevelt's corolorry to the doctrine is like a threat, but saying we will punish you if you don't listen to us.

P.S. I helped you so give me your number.
