The problem is not from the movies .. i had the same problem ... there are two soloutions to ur problem
1. open ur media files with VLC media player (its a freeware) found in this website http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html

2. update ur codects (decoders / plug ins) .. if using windows media player it should give u an error and u can click on web help and download it from there

as for ur other question
i recomend in order
1. www.podtropolis.com (it gives it to u in mp4 format)
2. torrentman.com
3. isohunt.com
4. torrentspy.com

Hey man Wii here

I do this myself and first of all download VLC player it's free and plays unfinnished torrents. to download torrents use Bitcomet its good and fast. but one thing about the Player wait for your torrent to reach about 40% or so and it should play. I recommend burning with Nero 7 and a good torrent site is for movies and everything is :
www.isohunt.org

hope it works :)

I don't think its your program to download it, but rather the player that you are using, or how you are extracting the files. I have seen many movies come down over bittorrents and they play fine once extracted and burnt to a dvd or put into a folder... It sounds like you are getting DVD rips and are trying to play them like avi files. I would say look for avi files of what you want- most major sites will end up with several versions of the same movie in different formats...

Whatever torrent you use, I don't know. I use uTorrent, which works fine for me.

I would try using vlc media player. It sounds like you have codec/format issues.
