Apple juice is a solution if it is clear. The materials are all dissolved in water and dispersed equally. If the juice is cloudy it is a colloid. That means it has particles which may remain mixed in the water, but the particles are not evenly dispersed and are large enough to scatter a beam of light passing through the juice. If there is pulp in the juice, then it is a suspension. You must shake a suspension to keep the large particles mixed. The particles will settle out again and the juice needs to be shaken to remix the particles.
