My mother always told me to eat rich tea biscuits and drink tea first thing in the morning.
I had 5 children and was sick for months with every one.
You definately do feel better for being able to actually throw up.

Well, I can tell you from my experience you won't really feel better if you do throw up. You'll still feel sick to your stomach. It's not like when you've got food poisoning or the flu and there is some relief in finally getting to vomit. (I know it's gross.)
The best you can do is try to fight the symptoms. Some women find relief by keeping a little something in their stomachs all the time. When they start to feel ill they will eat a few crackers or some bread or pretzels, or whatever to help curb the sick feeling.
Some women like the ginger-pops. They are lollipops that are specifically made for pregnant women with morning sickness.
I've even known of other women who feel better after drinking a caffeine free soda (like an orange soda, or root beer).
With my first, very little helped me at all until I got a prescription for my doctor. That was necessary because I was vomiting constantly.
With my second, a combination of the snacks and ginger pops helped. And a little time. After a while the morning sickness passed and I was on to a new pregnancy symptom - heartburn!
Hang in there. Experiment with different things to see what works for you. Just remember to stay hydrated and talk to your doctor about it at your next visit.

Well, my morning sickness lasted about 3 months! But there really isnt a way to prevent it....but you can ease it. Try eating saltine crackers and drinking sprite before you get out of bed in the morning. Also they sell pregnancy pops that are made especially for morning sickness at maternity stores...good luck!

Drink so at least you aren't having dry heaves. There isn't a lot you can do unless it gets real bad the doctor can prescribe something. Dont worry in a couple of months this will pass. Good luck with the baby.

Try to keep something in your stomach at all times. I didn't have morning sickness, but I did feel nauseous at times and it was only when my stomach was empty. Also, wake up in the middle of the night and drink a glass of OJ or water, that always made me feel better when I got out of bed in the morning.
