Go online and compare the schools point by point.

Do some research about which college offers a better curriculum for your chosen Major. Which college is rated higher by educational standards. etc....

Also, a campus visit is probably in order as well.

Wow, congrats on the scholarships! I applied to Baylor as well, actually.

I would go Baylor, but you should definitely consider what you're going to major in. If you're going the liberal arts route, go Baylor most definitely. If you're thinking about science or engineering, Tech has one of the best programs around (especially for Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering).

Also, both schools are big in their own right, and you'll have to take into consideration where they're located. Tech is pretty much in the middle of nowhere up there in Lubbock...but if you happen to live nearby, then it's not a problem. Waco is somewhat close to some major cities...but again, unless you're located nearby, it's in the middle of nowhere. 2 big and good schools in the middle of nowhere, practically. And they both get really cold in the winter time...I mean, really really cold. I live in Texas, but luckily I don't live in an area where it gets close to 1 digit degrees in temperature. That's what turned me off to Baylor -- I'm used to my Texas weather, and not theirs.

I've heard that the Baylor campus is really pretty, but the academics are killer. One of my friends go there, and he says that the campus is nice, but a lot of people go out on the weekends away from the campus...so it's like a "ghost town" sometimes. You might want to look up the Lubbock and Waco websites to see what they have to offer, and cities nearby that are within driving distance.

Try studentsreview.com if you want current and former students opinions...they helped me out.

Good luck!!

i dont know anything about the schools, but i would say look at what majors the school has to offer, and which ever has more that interests you (unless you know what your major will be already, then go to the school that has the better program in that). you might also consider how new the buildings and stuff are, technology quality, the surrounding town neighborhood-- what is there to do on weekends? do most of the kids from the school stay on campus during the weekends or do they go home? is the weather better in one place or another? Is there anyone you know near either, or does one have better transportation services than another? just some things to think about, good luck making your decision and if you decide later that you made the wrong one, you can always transfer :)

First of all, it depends on what program they have that you are interested in becoming a part of....

Use your own instinct and evaluate the schools and see whats better for you. Both are great schools...have you visited any of the campuses, spoke to any of the students or counselors...? If you haven't do it now, while you have the chance. Visit to get a feel of the campus and how you would adapt, that's the best thing...Best wishes to you and congratulations on the scholarships, sweetie...! You are blessed.

Look which is better for your major and also the location of each college if you care about that.
Tech is in the middle of nowhere. I have a friend who goes there and has told me if you dont get involved on campus you arent going to like it because there isnt really anything to do off campus.
If you want to be more in the city, waco would be a better choice.
