I have struggled through years of data entry and office jobs without this skill and am mortified that supervisors, etc. will find out...they have and it was awful.....I guess I tried to just tough it out, but I am very discouraged about not having this basic skill...I have checked bookstores, etc, without success seeking a tutorial of sorts! Please let me know how I can self teach myself!!!

I have self-taught myself how to type both with a normal keyboard and with a ten key numeric keypad. The best way to do it is just sit and practice. type 1234567890 over and over until you can do it easily, then write down some numbers of varying length on a piece of paper and try to type them without looking at your fingers.

Also, look at the screen, without looking down at your fingers, and think of a single number 0-9 and try to type it. Do this until you can get it right every time.

This should save you some money on tutorials and you'll always have access to it wherever you have a keypad and your fingers.

That's the easiest just memorize were the numbers at and yo'll be comfortable typing it.
