Reggie Miller is an all time great. No doubt about that. The only thing missing from his resume is a championship ring. That's why I think he wants the return; he wants the ring. And the best place to get one is with the favorites: the Mavs.

However, I think Miller should really think this over. It's gonna be hard to get minutes as a Mav. Terry, Harris, Buckner, Stackhouse. The backcourt is just too loaded. Plus, if he does play, I dont think he'll be in shape to guard the great shooting guards in the NBA. And Dallas doesn't need another shooter; Nowitzki is the bomb. Terry is clutch too, and Stackhouse can nail it if he's open. If Miller rides the pine the entire way, it's gonna look bad. So personally, I think Miller is fine staying as a TNT broadcaster.

Even if Miller is in great physical shape, his body is not used to the NBA atmosphere anymore. I think he should just stay retired. He is one of the greatest players of all time. He will only tain his image if he returns. Plus, he might mess up the great chemistry of Dallas. I think the reason why he wants to go to Dallas is because he wants a ring. Miller has never won the finals and I think that he doesn't want to call it a career without one. He also knows that Dallas are the favorites to win the coveted crown. It's a matter of self-fulfillment.
Malone and Stockton never had any rings, too yet they are future hall-of-famers. Miller really needs to think this over.

Yes, I think that he should. Reggie Miller should get a ring with the Mavs. He's still capable knocking that shot and he'll be open most of the time because of Nowitzki and Howard drawing the most defensive attention...

Reggie Miller's been out of the game a couple of years, but he was still a really good player when he retired....I'd do like Mike and start working out and see how I feel....

Reggie would look fine in a Mavs uniform.....but I can't imagine him in one of those puke-green throwback jerseys.....ugh....

Yeah and how tight would it be if they went up against the knicks in the finals (i know it wont happen but its a good thought) and he beat them again and beat Spike Lee once again.
