Brain old? Heart new?

Question

Does anyone agree? The brain transmutes every bit of information into thoughts, therefore giving you but a film of the (recent) past. The heart will give you direct reality, as it is renewing your vitality every second.....

I'm afraid that I don't agree. My brain is thinking, planning, figuring things out, dealing with the here and now jobs in my body like maintaining balance. I can't drive my car by studying the rearview mirror, and I can't live my life in films of the recent past. My heart is just a piece of my body's machinery. My brain is the part that is me.
