Yes, they were, and still are, but not as you may have been told! They are not horses with a screw-like horn protruding out of it's head. But a, "WILD BULL !," You'll find them in The Bible; UNICORN (singular),-- Numbers 23:22, 24:8, Job 39:9-10, Psalm 29:6, 92:10,...........UNICORNS (plural),-- Deuteronomy 33:17, Psalm 22:21, Isaiah 34:7...7214, in your concordance--A WILD BULL( From It's Conspicuousness)--from7213= (To Rise--Be Lifted Up)

I don't think the unicorns in our fairytales are real, but it is possible that, like mermaids, there was an ancient creature that looked similar.

some mythological creatures are mentioned in Bible such as unicorns in Num. 23:22 and Isa. 13:21......... So, I say yes they were!
