I am 17 years old and male and i live with my fiancee and my 3 year old daughter (her mother left as year ago). People always talk about me for being only 13 when I got my 12 year old girlfriend pregnant. I really cannot stand judgemental people. Why do they care? Is it that unusual to be a 17 yr. old man, living with my fiancee and have a 3 year old daughter.

Congratulations to you for having the responsibility to look after your daughter there are not many people your age that would or could do it.

Don't worry about what other people think or say as it is really none of their business! It is your life and as long as you and your daughter are happy, it doesn't matter what all the other small minded people think!!

Keep up the good work!

Well, now that you're a father, how will you feel if some 13 year old boy knocks up your daughter when she's 12 years old? Yes, the situation you are in is very unusual. People care because they don't want the cycle to repeat.

First off I have to commend you for standing up and taking care of your daughter. Why are people judge mental.... I believe it is because years ago sex before marriage was almost unheard of. I believe people still think "how can someone that young really be able to take care of a child?" It is merely something straying from the "norm" of society that seems to freak people out. My suggestion of how to deal with people's stares is realize that you are doing the right thing now. Maybe having sex so young isn't a great idea but you are taking responsibility for your child. The gift you will receive from raising your daughter and seeing her grow will surely outweigh any judge mental comments you might receive.

Well actually it IS uncommon to be in the situation you're in...but that doesn't make it right for people to judge you!

Live your life as BEST you can...be a good man and take care of your family. You had to grow up the hard way. F*** the naysayers. Ignore rude comments.

BTW, my husband was only 18 when he had his first child (him and the mother obviously didn't last long), but he's a good man and has ALWAYS taken care of us.

U are a young father and very responsible to, to raise the child after the moma left.
I think it is absolutely remarkable and you should feel proud.
Those folks talking about you are very jealous, dont let them
play with your emotions.
My grandma was 12 when she got married and had 12 kids and lived to be 95 yrs old.

People assume you were just horny, and that there's no way you could possibly be a good parent.

Apparently thousands of years of human history are meaningless, and they can't just look at you with an unbiased eye.

People sure suck.

people think it was stupid of you to have sex at age 13, which is true, but if your taking good care of your daughter and being a good parent congratulations on doing so at such a young age. most people that have kids at our age are not good parents simply because they are to immature.
