Move to LA, try out for all sorts of reality shows, try modeling, try out for some commercials or something to get your foot in the door...if you have money get an agent

Finish school, all the way though college with a degree in something practical in case the "acting" doesn't work out.
On weekends take acting classes, get involved with community theatre. Start from the bottom up. Learn everything there is to know about acting and the art.

I don't know how old you are but I would suggest finding a GOOD acting studio. Not your neighbor's Aunt Mary who teaches acting in her basement on weekends. Take dance classes. Take voice classes. Start as soon as you can. Acting is a skill that can be learned, just like painting or basket weaving. It's hard hard work but you can do it. And don't let anyone tell you you can't! Good luck.

Move to Hollywood, start taking lots of drugs, start sleeping with both sexes and may'be you'll get discovered. If all else fails shave your head and claim your mental.
