I believe this may or may not be something to be concerned about as far as life or death. But it is definitely something that needs to be addressed! If these people really think it's ok to think this way they have serious issues!
My then 13yr old niece and a few of her friends had made a little club and made a similar list with the names of kids and teachers and some family relatives. They had no intentions of anybody else ever reading it and they would not have ever harmed the people but when a teacher retrieved a notebook from one of the girls they learned the hard way how serious it is to do such things. They were suspended from school for a week and were questioned by the police. They all went through counseling and had to apologize to the people who knew they were on this list. My niece told me how scary this was for her to go through and she said she didn't look at it as anything but having fun venting her feelings with her friends. She realizes now that some opinions should be kept to herself.
Having thoughts of such a thing is a definite red flashing light for the ones writing these kinds of things but usually it's showing more harm onto themselves. Either way though something must be done for their safety and the safety of others.

You should give the administration the names and the myspace account of the students. You can ask that you stay anonymous, so that they do not know that you are the one that told. Please go to the Administration or a trusted teacher tomorrow.
There have been to many school shootings that could have been avoided if someone had let the administration know what was going on. You don't want something that could have been avoided to happen because you weren't sure you should go to the Administration. You could always just leave a note for the principal with the myspace page so that you wouldn't be implicated in anyway.
It takes a strong person to stand up for what is right.

Definitely tell the administration. They need to know what's going on in their schools. It may cost someone their life. Think about it this way: One morning these emo people walk into school with an AK-47 in their hands and begin to blast people up. Your best friend, who is right next to you, screams. You realize that she's been shot. At the funeral, you realize that you could have prevented this. You will have a guily conscience for the rest of your life (which may not be long, if you keep going to this school). Tell your administration anonymously.

you misunderstand. Death note is a popular anime in which the main character finds a notebook where if u write the persons name in it, they die. It is nothing more. Nobody will commit murder because they know the consequences. However, they can go to jail for this depending on the situation. If it is meant as a harmless joke then leave it. But if it is meant as a threat, then they can suffer serious consequences. Tell the police and if they are found to be innocent and return to your university, then change your name and move to mexico.

Death Note is this Japanese comic I am dying to read. If you REALLY think these weird people are going to ACTUALLY HURT your friends then go to the administration first thing in the morning. But if you just want to tattle on some people because you don't want your "friends to be slandered" that's not cool.

A good thing to note is that they are mimicking a popular manga and anime series that is itself called "Death Note". As was said a few answers before, mine, in this series the main character obtains a notebook that will kill anyone whose name is written in it.
Read about it here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_Note#Rules_of_the_Death_Note
Now, however innocent this Death Note of your classmates can be, it is, at the very least Insensitive, frightening, and harassment.
You do need to go to the administration at your school and let them know about this. Do not hesitate to divulge anything you know about this group and their death note because while they may MEAN no harm, it can do harm - just by existing.

You definitely need to tell your school administration. If you don't feel comfortable doing that than you need to go to the police. The police will let you tell them anonymously and not hold it against you. They will keep that information confidential. You need to do something about it. Do you really ant something to happen to your friends or even yourself because you didn't do something about it when you should have?

If I were in your position and didn't do anything and something happened, I would never forgive myself.
You could let the administration know anonymously through a note.
Why take a chance on people's lives? If you were on that list, wouldn't you hope someone would tell?
