Go to a jeweler. They can test the hardness for diamonds.

Edit to add - do NOT go to a pawnshop to find out. They are out to make money and may not tell the truth.

The gold is real if it's stamped, stones , while they could be fakes. The best is to take and have the ring appraised. Some stores have "free" appraisals. Give it a try as that why you'd be sure of what you have. I hope it's genuine and worth oodles of money for you.

Your best bet is to take it to a jeweler and have it appraised. Unless you are a trained gemologist, it is very difficult to tell. The 14K on the inside refers to the karat of the gold, not the authenticity of the diamonds.

Sometimes synthetic stones are set in 10K or 14K gold, so there is not real way to tell unless a gemologist can tell you. Usually, if the stones look too perfect and shine too much; they are fake.

Pawn shops have a machine to tell if a diamond is real. You can go there and pretend you want to pawn it and have them test the stones. Otherwise you will have to pay for an appraisal which can be pricey.
