it's not the subtitles that make it better, its the fact that it isn't edited and the voice actors have more emotion. people tend to like an anime in what ever version they see it in first, i just happened to see it in japanese first so i like the subtitled better.

Naruto is better in Japanese version because it's an *ANIME,,
*the voice actors/actress are suiter for the characters also *match with the character's expression (and the actor's pitch). Mostly for Naruto himself, he has lots of expresions and speaking, and his ending *line "dattebayou" it sounds better with it..
In Prince of Tennis.. they dont say "mada mada dane," as for Ryoma's fav. line, *sounds so lame in English,,
For non-speaking Japanese with the sub (with any language u know) , you could also *learn Japanese..
*The theme songs are the original one, which is better..and u could *sing along with the sub.. x], but in Adult Swim they didn't change/edit the op-ed theme song for the anime, like Bleach.
So basicly the original one always has been better than the other version, exept that some of us didnt understand Japanese, or could figure some, so we watch the subbed one
(also, could watch the latest one)

it's better because in the dubbed version there are to many "belive it". The voice actors stink. Less blood. Also in the dubbed version naruto voice is a woman doing it. Oh, they also pick the bad voice actors that doesn't fit the characters. hope that answers your question.

The voice acting. I hate Shikamaru's English voice, along with GAara's. THey're crud compared to the original voices.
Also the editting. It's HOW TROUBLESOME, not WHAT A DRAG.

because they don't cut out anything, the movments aren't all jacked up to match what there saying (*cough* american dub) and the dialog is better! plus, naruto dosn't sound like he has a cough drop stuck in his windpipe. :3

better voice actors (at least better than some of the ones english version has). they just suit the characters much better than the american ones.
also because they don't block out the curse words. no one wants to hear "you sick man!" when they really mean "you dirty b**t**d!!" it just shows emotion better that way.

They don't butcher it. They show the real thing that Kishimoto wrote. In the American version they put out the cussing and put less blood in it. Maybe that answers your question?

Well first you don't have to listen to the corny "BELEVIE IT!!" all day.More indepth episodes, no commercials, you can watch new episodes anytime you want instead of waiting, and finally you get to see more violence and no green backgrounds -.-
