No, Harry Potter will not die in the 7th book. Harry Potter is the protagonist of the story, the well rounded character that must live to the end of the story because he must learn a critical lesson. He will not die.

I want him to die but I don't think he will. Neither one can live while the other survives, and vice versa. So if Harry dies, then Voldemort in some way is still alive which still leaves alot of room for another set of books, because the "problem" is still there. People will be demanding a book 8 where Voldemort resurrects himself once again.
Also, I think Harry's been through too much for him to be condemned to death. He needs a reprieve.

Since the beginning J.K. Rowling has said there will be seven books, no more. Unless Harry dies in this last book she will forever be receiving fan mail asking her what happens to Harry lar and what does he do afterwards. I think he has to die to approproiately end the series once and for all.

i agree with akninja...i think that harry will turn out to be the last horcrux and have to kill himself to kill voldemort---i think that would be a horrible way to end the series but a very great twist!!
