should i get limwire?

Question

i need a place where i can download music for FREE...and i tried doing yahoo music unlimited to go(30 day free trial) and napster but you need to have a credit card and i cant use a credit card

iv heard that alot of people have gotten viruses and stuff and thats why idont know if i should get it yet...but alot of people havent gotten any viruses..

but should i get norton first? becuase mine expired and i think thats why i should get it after i get norton first..

First off with the viruses. I think AVG is one of the best anti-viruse programs. Its also free!! And it automatically updates when u start up the computer. As for the Limwire. I have it and i have gotten no viruses from it. But i do suggest that u turn off the sharing. If you dont ppl are able to upload the songs that you have downloaded from your computer. (That really sucks if you have an uploading limit, I know the college i went to stopped that from happening and they would put you into a pentaly box.) I also know alot of ppl that have limwire and no one has ever complained about it. Its a really nice program to have on your computer. you can even burn cds from it.

You should definitely get norton first or any program that protects your computer from getting viruses through those music downloads. Limewire usually infests your computer with spyware and adware that you'll have to clean daily. There's also ways to scan what you just downloaded before opening the actual file and using it. You should definitely do that. Scan files that have been recently downloaded to check for viruses or any harm that can damage the computer.

Limewire is a good program. I know of people who didn't have a problem with it but my computer messed up not long ago and I'm not sure why...It may have been from Limewire so it would be best to get a Norton or another program with virus protection first. Good luck!

I use limewire and haven't had a single problem with it yet. I download tons of songs daily, and they've all been fine. Every once in awhile, it makes my computer a bit slower, but that's usually when I have limewire, my windows media player, and several internet windows up. Otherwise, I've not ever had a problem with it! Hope this helps!

1) of course u need an antivirus or internet security system; you can download some fo free at www.download.com
2) I use Limewire too; anyway,it's not the only one 2 download stuff for free.... Shearaza;eMule;KazaaLite are just some other peer-2-peer sites :-)

Yes, make sure you have an installed working firewall and anti-virus program first then download away, i havent had any problems just hours and hours of free music.

OK her it is limewire is a good site for music but you should always have a anti-virus and spyware ruining all the time. Because you can get a virus just by surfing the net .There is another good site similar to limewire it's called frostwire .here is a list of good sites for limewire, frostwire ,avast anti virus ,avg antivirus and spybot spy ware,super antispyware all for free.they are very good sites

if your going to download limewire, then definatly get norton first...when i had limewire, it downloaded several trojan horse viruses that norton caught. i use bit torrent now...
