I just heard it on my local news. They reported it was because she is not happy that she is being paid so much less than other cast members. Did anyone hear anything.

E said that, "so false." They are offering her a significant raise and she will continue as Izzy Stephens!

She is not leaving the show due to a 6 year contract and ABC is offering her an amount that is a lot more than her current contract, but she still is unhappy that Sandra Oh and Isiah Washington are being paid more. I've also heard some of the cast is upset about the possibility of an Addison spin-off so this may have added to the problem

Yeah they have been talking about his for the past couple of weeks...but she is not leaving...one because of her contract...and two if anyone has ever read any of her interviews...the one reason she took the role for Grey's was because her brother had gotten a transplant when he was young and died from it...so by her going on this show it made her cope with things alot better...also this is a spoiler for Grey's

From everything I have read in the past month..the creator of Grey's is doing a spin-off show that will start airing in may right as soon as the season finale for Grey's wraps up...this show will take over till Grey's Comes back on with its new season....and yes Addison is supposed to be the Leading Dr. on the new show...she will still be knows as Dr. Addison on the new show...but i guess from what they are saying they are going to say that she has a life threating illness on Grey's but i dont look for that cause why would they say that and start her on another show without the illness...so i say she is just going to back to New York since she knows she will never get Derek back

yeah I heard that she wants out or hasn't signed her contract. If she leaves it would be sad but I would still watch. They show would be different though

not anymore,,, according to tmz, she is under a long term contract, and will be staying,,, though she will be getting a compensation raise.
