I come from a conservative family in Georgia. We are one of the wealthier families. I go to a private school, and we all drive SUV's. We live in a big house and have nice stuff.
Now before anyone says I'm bragging or any of that crap, don't.
Has anyone noticed that (MOST OF THE TIME, NOT ALWAYS) the liberals are the ones that don't have the money. It seems as if they're just jealous of the wealthier families. Also, where I come from, the wealthier families are the conservatives. Maybe that's just Georgia, but can someone shed some light on the subject?

It's not a tough question. The republican party values the contributions to America from businesses over the contributions of individuals. As such, they do everything they can to keep wealthy people flush, and corporations as tax-free as possible. The democratic party values the contributions of the individual over the company they work for, and as such do everything they can to ensure that companies pay more taxes than individuals. It makes sense for rich people to be conservatives. They aren't trying for a better life- they already have it.

Part of the reasons I became a Democrat was because I got tired of all the name calling and bashing that conservatives did towards liberals on a constant basis.
Conservatives can be very bitter and nasty. So I respectfully disagree with your assessment.

Has it occurred to you that people who aren't impressed with you and your list of credentials (which you're of course not bragging about) include those of us who neither identify ourselves as liberals nor conservatives? Has it occurred to you that SUV's are environmentally irresponsible gas-guzzlers, when we should collectively be going in the opposite direction by reducing our dependency on fossil fuels? Has anyone ever expressed disagreement with you about anything without you resorting to clichés such as "You're bitter", "You're a bleeding heart liberal", etc? And lastly, have you ever ventured outside of Georgia for that matter?

No, the bitter ones are not liberals. If you look at classic American liberals, you will see lots of money - Kerry, the Kennedy clan come to mind.
The bitter ones are those who envy. That can be any party and any politcal philosophy.

You must be deaf and blind...haven't you watched the Fox News or listen to talk radio. That's all they do is blame Clinton for everything and give GWB a pass on everything. Just think they wanted to Impeach Clinton for getting a BJ. and Just look with they let this idiot in the white house get away with. Which is worse Lying about a BJ or Lying about WMD to go to war.... you right-wingers are deceived and delusional. I call it " Phony - Peer Pressured - Patriotism".

Your non-question is justified by your limited perspective.
With time, and hopefully with some life experience, you may develop the capacity to understand the world you live in with the complexity and sophistication that it demands.

Liberals have more hatred built up inside them. It must be that they can't understand why people don't follow their wacky godless ways.

I just saw a poll a while back that said Republican were typically more optimistic and happier than Democrats. Wish I saved it.
