Here's a tip:

Show or hide formatting marks
On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the View tab.

Under Formatting marks, select the check boxes next to the characters you want to display.
Tip To display all formatting marks, select the All check box instead of selecting each individual check box. You can also turn the All option on or off by clicking Show/Hide .

Go to Tools, Options. In the View tab, look at the section called Formatting marks; turn off the 'Paragraph marks' and/or 'All' options.

I don't think it is there when you print, it is just part of AutoFormat, which can be turned off somewher like "Tools"

It's okay. It won't show up if you print.
