insert the system disk into cd rom. Reboot system. Select install windows. Select delete existing partition. Select format new partition. Done.

If you want to know what it means to format a HDD, it mean to completely clean, erase, and reset to its factory settings. I only reccomend doing this if you have serious issues with you computer.

you will need a floppy copy of windows 98 boot disk, to do any good,
you can download a copy from microsoft support website look for downloads, look through the list for windows 98 boot disk
