I like it. It is a phonetically reasonable spelling--there is at least a chance that a person might pronounce it right! I love Bible names and this one is not popular but pretty sounding! Go for it! Am I mixed up though? Wasn't he the guy who was married to the woman who kept on cheating on him? Or was that a different minor prophet? I utter this caution just because I knew a lady who named her son Jacob and then sat down to read to him all about Jacob from the Bible one day. She was shocked and horrified to find out what a little weasel he was! She belatedly wished she had not decided to read about his namesake until he was a little older!

i think that is very pretty and i like the play on the spelling, my daughter's name is machaella, (like makayla) and of course its never pronounced correct, but i personally like odd names that not everyone is going to have.....
