For me...I have had bitter melon, which I believe is a Chinese food..that was utterly so horrible..I just couldn't stomach the darn thing!
I couldn't stand or even UNDER stand ...why it tasted so bad...and why in the world would other people LOVE and ADORE this stuff, when it tasted literally sooo vile!!!LOL!

I also, am soooo not fond of Liver and Onions! Bleaaaach!

What is absolutely "THE" worst food, you have had to eat..or came across, while say, traveling..and just "whenever"!!!????

The worst foods I've eaten were in Norway. As a Xmas delicacy, they serve fish that has been rotten in lye. An everyday dish was fish pudding. It had a smooth, slimy texture and tasted of fish. I had to barf into a handkerchief and hide it in my purse without the hostess seeing me do it. Unforgettable!

Oh, I forgot the smelly, old cheese with whiskers of mold growing out of it.

I love liver and onions, but the liver has to be prepared right. It needs to be rinsed off in cold water and then put to soak in milk for 30 minutes or more. It needs to be saute'd gently and not overcooked or it will be as tough and unappetising as an old boot. I like to fry bacon with it and I throw in a little bit of garlic.

LMAO - without a doubt the absolute worst for me has to be tripe and chicken soup made with a chicken freshly killed at a Spanish butcher shop.

The tripe is stomach wall lining, and is just unbelievably chewy and non-palatable, it doesn't break down, so it's like trying to chew and swallow a sponge.

The freshly killed chicken from a vivero (fresh poultry shops) skeeves me, especially the foot when it's put into the soup.

Unfortunately I grew up with both of these in my household and the only time they stopped serving it to me was when I became physically ill @ the dinner table.

Liver & onions rank right up there with me, too, but I believe the worst thing I ever tasted was calamari or squid. I didn't know it was squid at the time, but it tasted like I was chewing a rubber shoe. I had to beat a hasty retreat to the ladies room, and though I didn't barf, I sure felt like it. I nearly tossed the plate in my friend's face!

Cow intestines in Argentina - they have a dish called carne asada, which isn't the comparable as what Taco Bell serves. it fairly is fairly all areas of the cow...kidneys, brains, etc. The intestines have been salty and squishy, stressful to chew too! something replaced into exceedingly good nevertheless.

My dad made dinner once, it was supposed to be oriental. The whole time he was preparing it he was bragging how good it was going to be and how much better a cook he was then my mom. It was the worst tasting **** I've ever had, but it runs a close tie to sushi. Anything that you have to hold your nose to eat is gross!

I sampled some Gourmandise cheese once. It tasted like someone had thrown up in an ashtray. Spitting and gacking, it took me days to get rid of the taste.

I have never had to eat liver and would never do so, as it contains all the waste from the animals body just as are's does. The worste I have had is deer meat.
