my keyboard config is messed up when i push 2 with shift i get the @ symbol and not " (speech marks)" please help

With the language bar I think... just need uk kb layout

Go to control panel, regional and language options, languages, details - get rid of the US keybd

Your keyboard layout is set to US instead of UK. If you are using Windows XP go to control panel and select Regional & Language Options. Now click the Languages tab at the top followed by Details. You can change your keyboard to UK in there.

Your keyboard is in American language but it can be changed - forgotten how to do it but try control panel it will be in there somewhere

Your kbd is set to US, go into control panel->date/time/language->regional options and I think you can change it to UK English in there

Click Start .Go to control panel and find date time langugage. Click there and then select English (UK)
