Which hand you write with is not going improve your grades.
Left dominant have better tendency to math, right dominants have better verbal skills. This does NOT mean that right dominants cannot become mathematicians or that lefties can't be writers and authors.
The reason you're doing poorly in math is because you need to practice more and study- not because you write answers with a particular hand.
Do your homework and ask for extra help if you need it.

By the way there are people who lose function in one part of the brain- they get trained to use other parts to do those functions. Working hard and repetition is what gets results.

If you're ambidextrious, it doesn't matter which hand you're actually writing your math with. Your brain isn't developing its math ability while you're taking a test, that's already been established. During recall (when you're being tested or solving a problem) you draw on your knowledge NOT based on which hand is holding the pencil, but your cognition process. Your cognition routes will automatically go to the correct hemisphere and tap into information already gathered there.
Relax, your brain will find the info!

Math is two things. Knowing by memory the tables of multiplication, geometry and trig tables is first and second is practice.
