IF you are talking about a calendar month, then yes, it probably will happen once a year. That's because a calendar month is usually 30 or 31 days, and the median length of time for a woman's cycle is 28 days. So, 12 months in a year, but more often than not, 13 cycles in a year. Yes, that's right, referring to you period s your "monthly" whatever isn't accurate.

How old are you hun? If you are a young woman such as around 12-16 and just starting your period for the first time your body may be trying to adjust to the changes going on inside of you. If you are an older woman such as in her 20s then I would recommend talking to your dr about it to have things checked out to see what's going on.
