i heard something like this on OPRAH, she said that they're is no such thing as race that can be found on people's DNA? is this true?

IF IT IS (and i think so)...HOW COME you hear stories that people give their DNA for testing to see what percentage of them has various ethnicities ... for example this guy on MONTEL show...physically looks black, but he got the 'heritage' test done and it showed up that he wasn't black at all , that he's blood consists of indo-american , white... etc.etc. except no african , black....

SO I'm CONFUSED!...how can there be no such thing as race to b found in our DNA, yet people can get 'tests' to see if they are 100% white, black, asian , or in most cases mixed....

Here is a link to the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and questions on genetics. I believe they can answer your question far better than I can. Foolow it, and good luck.

Scientists have discarded the idea of race. Biologically it means nothing.

Race is considered an artificial construct based off of eventually meaningless differences such as skin color.

You can still tell if someone comes from a certain gene pool by looking at their DNA.
