Not too much, although you will get more money if you have a masters degree. You won't get into a graduate school without the grades.

Depends on the position you're going for. For instance, if you have a degree in a certain trade such as culinary arts having a C would be OK because you probably know how to really cook but you were just horrible at the tests and maybe didn't hand in a project or two. But if you needed a medical operation, would you really want a doctor who passed with a C to work on you???
So it really depends on the profession. Also, if your grades aren't that great make sure you get a lot of experience when you're doing your intership. And try to get an internship at a reptuable company.

Most employers don't look at your actual grades/transcripts at all. Just the fact that you have the degree and sometimes the reputation of the school you got it from. Things like previous experience and an interview are much more important than your GPA.

Your FIRST employer MIGHT look at your GPA. After you have had 1 "real" job, it no longer matters what your undergrad GPA was, unless you intend on going to grad school.
Less than 25% of people over the age of 25 in the US have degrees. Just having one puts you in the upper quarter as far as education goes.
They don't print your GPA on your Diploma :) It goes along with the old joke "You know what they call a doctor who got all Cs in med school, don't you? Doctor."

Grades might not have mattered 15 or 20 years ago, but today, having a BA is getting to be about as common as having a high school diploma. Being as such, having one is practically mandatory for most jobs with good advancement potential. As far as grades go, look at it from management's perspective: if you have 2 candidates that you liked equally in an interview but one finished in the top 10% of their class and the other had average grades, which one would you choose?
Grades and school matter...don't kid yourself.

Not much. Now if the GPA is exceptionally high, the graduate can (and should) include it to the first couple of jobs he/she applies to. But in reality, it's not really that critical.

I've heard ALOT of people say it doesn't matter much, but I think it does--it shows you are a hard worker if you've got really good grades. If the person had straight C's...I'd call them a minimalist, but hey, that's just me. I'm sure the most of the people doing the hiring will not think that way. It's different if you intend to go on in school...like to grad school or professional school--then they REALLY matter.

Not much, really. It's not something you put on your resume. Did you graduate with honors? You might put that in parenthesis after your degree info.
